We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager/Manager to join in our growing team advising on a wide range of real estate and infrastructure projects. Working here will give you the chance to develop your business consulting skills to build on your existing professional expertise.

For individuals joining the team without an existing Professional Qualification, we would welcome a discussion regarding how we might best support you in undertaking such a Qualification through use of our training and development policies.

As part of our team, you could work on:

  • Developing the business case and delivery strategy for a major capital investment programme
  • Working with corporate real estate teams on their data & management information strategies
  • Advising the public sector on a significant policy change and supporting them through its implementation
  • Undertaking a business review of a contractor or house builder on behalf of its lending banks
  • Working with a cross-firm team on a global cost reduction programme

Within our team you will:

  • Work on a wide range of public and private sector assignments in the UK and overseas

  • Undertake detailed financial and commercial analysis to solve complex problems
  • Prepare reports and presentations to support client conversations
  • Engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the client organization right up to Board level

The calibre of the clients you will work with is exceptionally high. Some of our projects require the highest level of security clearance. All applicants must therefore be willing and eligible to apply and obtain UK security clearance to Security Check (SC) and/or Developed Vetting (DV) level, if not an existing clearance holder.

Key required skills:

  • You're an analytical thinker and problem solver. You can collect and analyse complex data from appropriate sources to extract insights and develop informed recommendations that shape or support project objectives.
  • You're a strong presenter with excellent report writing skills. You can deliver effective presentations and reports to convey clear messaging and insights to clients and stakeholders.
  • You're a natural at building relationships. You build productive relationships and uses an appropriate communication style to positively influence clients, colleagues and stakeholders.

Key required experience:

  • Experience in the real estate and/or infrastructure construction sectors OR relevant experienced gained in the UK Military or associated government departments.
  • Project Management and Stakeholder Engagement experience will be of particular relevance.
  • Professional qualification in a relevant area (eg ACA, CIMA, MICE, MRICS or equivalent) welcomed but not a pre-requisite for applying for this role focussed on the Defence and Security sectors.
  • The ability to travel as required.

Infrastructure and Real Estate

Our Infrastructure and Real Estate team supports both public and private sector clients on complex infrastructure, real estate, and capital projects. Typical engagements include urban regeneration, transport, energy and renewables, and occupier advisory to central government and large corporate companies.

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
