We're growing our technical team within Simulation & Insights. If you have a strong academic background with technical hands on experience building models in the data science, AI or simulation space and want to grow your career in this sector, we are very keen to hear from you.
For the Manager role we would also be looking for experience in translating technical outputs for non technical audiences, managing other technical team members and specialist knowledge of industries or sectors.

As a data scientist with the Simulation & Insights team you will work as part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team developing and maintaining data science, AI and simulation models, designed to solve client problems.
Responsibilities include:
- Apply data science, machine learning, and AI techniques to extract insights and deliver business value from structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and maintain data science, AI or Simulation models written in Python.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges, capture requirements, and communicate findings through impactful presentations and visualisations.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices, driving innovation within the team.
- Utilise AI tooling in the day to day performance of your work.

We would love to hear from you if you have a skills and experience in some of these key areas:
Essential:
- Proven academic background, degree in a STEM subject.
- High level problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills, with a creative approach to tackling challenges.
- Proven foundation in statistics, probability, and data analysis techniques.
- Significant hands-on experience in data science, machine Learning, and AI, with a track record of delivering solutions in a professional setting.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, including RAG, fine-tuning, and agentic AI architectures, plus familiarity with MCP and A2A communication frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python (or equivalent programming language) and associated common data science libraries (such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy etc for Python).
- Proficient in using AI tools and platforms for model development, deployment, and monitoring (such as Github Co-pilot, Databricks, MLFlow etc).
- Understanding of best practices for code quality, collaboration, and reproducibility.
- Ability to communicating technical information to non-technical audiences and to present findings in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and building productive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Commitment to staying up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices.
