This role sits within the Business Services & Marketing category. This is an interesting and diverse category, which includes areas such as financial services, insurance, marketing services and creative and production. Based in the UK, you will be part of a Global team and work on a mixture of local, regional, and global projects.

As an Assistant Manager within Strategic Sourcing, you'll be responsible for:

• Managing, coordinating and supporting RFx and contract renewal activity
• Owning strategic sourcing responsibilities across Business Services and Marketing
• Driving contract negotiation results.
• Identifying opportunities to reduce spend by driving more category-level sourcing events.
• Advising and solutioning with senior level personnel on procurement and/or contracting strategy
• Collaborating with Strategic Planning colleagues to ensure actions are aligned with Master Category Strategies

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrable experience in a procurement/strategic sourcing role, with an appetite to gain expertise in the Business Services & Marketing category if not already possessed
• Experience with the strategic procurement process in a large, decentralized environment within a global organization would be preferred
• Experience in contract negotiations and RFx's
• Strong administrative, project management and analytical skills
• Excellent communication, and stakeholder relationship management skills
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and deliver results in a deadline driven working environment
• A team player, possessing cultural awareness and comfortable with working in a virtual, global team
• Self-starter, independent, proactive, and strategic in identifying opportunities with our internal clients and business units with respect to procurement
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
