Event Production Manager (Experiential) | Cheil

We are looking for an Event Production Manager (Retail and Experiential) to join the 3D Production team at Cheil UK, based in London and Chertsey.

The 3D Production team is a function within Cheil UK that specialises in the Retail and Experiential activations. We provide an end-to-end service to our clients from strategic planning, design, production and operations pop-up activations, roadshows and events (new product launches, media events and more). We take pride on our ability to meticulously plan and execute projects to client's satisfaction whilst providing them with optimal results.

What the day to day looks like..

Reporting to the RX Director of Production covering our primary client's needs, the RX Event Production Manager will independently manage various sized event, experiential and exhibition delivery projects, or specific work-streams in larger such projects ensuring that the client needs are met and exceeded.

The role will need a strong end to end project management with build, H&S and logistics knowledge (essential). You will utilise the relevant agency, network, sister companies and external partner resources to ensure all projects are delivered to the highest quality, on-time, within scope, and budget.

Depending on the specific projects the role will involve travel to partners, UK event sites and client meetings as required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Production in the management and delivery of key event projects
  • End to end responsibility for the planning, management and delivery of allocated projects
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-budget and to agreed specification
  • Ensure all project milestones and deadlines are recorded and met or slips highlighted
  • Manage project status reporting with internal stakeholders
  • Manage and coordinate project deliverables with various stakeholders, including Account, Production, and external sub-contractors
  • Identify appropriate project resource requirement, work with the Account Director, Production Director and HoD to recruit necessary contractors / specialists where required or new partners and on-board them
  • Vendor budget management
  • Assist with reconciling costs against budget
  • Maintain and build key relationships with existing managers within the Agency and essentially with all 3rd party partners
  • Support senior account team members - provide essential support on major projects across the rest of the agency when required

Skills:

  • Strong IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
  • CAD capabilities desirable or the ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and multi-task. Experience/qualification in a PM methodology advantageous
  • Manage budgets, control costs and will recognise opportunities to maximise commercial potential
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Teamwork - able to work closely with team members across the agency
  • Well developed, positive interpersonal skills
  • Able to take independent, proactive action to resolve challenges
  • Solution driven (effective problem solving skills), ability to provide alternative plans when required
  • Solid organisational skills and sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills - both spoken and written in English
  • Presentation skills - clear, concise, effective skills for briefing team members and external partners
  • Experience in site management or working on sites essential

About you

  • Proven experience in either event, experiential or exhibition Project Management
  • Working knowledge of H&S regulations
  • Experience in producing and or interrogating RA_MS advantageous
  • Working knowledge of manufacture techniques and material usage
  • History of value engineering projects
  • Knowledge or project approval process both governmental and private estates
  • Ability to read or technical drawings and architectural plans
