Assistant Maintenance Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join Brooklands Museum as an Assistant Maintenance Manager to assist our Property & Estates Manager to manage the facilities and estate infrastructure of Brooklands Museum. Working in a small team the role includes administrative support, some compliance management, leading a small team of technicians and hands on maintenance. You will be focussed on delivering high standards across the site, to agreed timescales, safely and within budgets.

You will work closely with a range of different individuals within the Museum including the inhouse maintenance team (for whom you will be responsible for), volunteer teams along with outside contractors as needed so you will need to be able to work well in a team as well as individually.

You will have an appropriate trade qualification, or relevant experience in managing properties & estates along with great team leadership and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload while maintaining a strong attention to detail. You will possess a positive approach and a 'can do' attitude with a willingness to be flexible and 'get stuck in' as needed. We are also open to a candidate who is looking to further their career in a managerial role who is also happy to work alongside the property team supporting the day-to-day maintenance of the site from a hands on perspective.

Located on the 32-acre site of the world's first purpose-built motor racing circuit and the most productive aircraft factories in Europe in the twentieth century, and welcomes over 180,000 visitors each year.
