Overall Purpose of the role:

The Assistant Logistics Manager will be running the logistics operation for all the variety of events taking place across the venue. Moving equipment around and ensuring all the set ups go smoothly and all events break down. You will also be responsible for any pieces of heavy equipment leaving the warehouse.

Reporting to the Logistic Manager and Head of Logistics, and with them driving changes, improvements, and new processes.

More information about the role:

  • Responsible for running the logistics of all Conference and Event functions for the company, within the venue.
  • Responsible for all function sets up, break downs, and sharing all the needed information across the logistic team.
  • Responsible alongside the Back of House manager, to manage the picklist procedures, liaising with the operation team, report shortages and offer alternative solutions.
  • Responsible alongside the Back of House manager to carry out a quarterly CCG stocktake, report, and justify any discrepancies.
  • Responsible for the equipment rental volume, liaise with supplier for delivery and collection dates according with event set up deadlines.
  • Responsible for any equipment hired returns or collection, informing the head of department of any possible losses.
  • Take all necessary actions to reduce the breakage of China and Glassware.
  • Attending event planning meetings once requested
  • Report any maintenance issues within the company venue areas to the Facility Manager or Head of Logistics.
  • Supporting the head of department to produce the department ROTA, once requested.
  • Follow and improve operating and cleaning procedures together with the head of BOH and Back of House manager.
  • Work ahead of events with all departments to ensure items that are required for events are available when needed.
