Overview

Are you looking for an exciting career in residential development land and new homes? We are expanding our Butters John Bee Estate Agents Land & Development Team, covering the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire, and the North West.

The role will involve regular travel across the region together with the opportunity for an element of homeworking. Work will be allocated to suit the location of the individual who will ideally live within an hour's drive of the office (ST3 2NS).

Benefits

  • Salary up to £40000 (basic £25000 + commission + benefits).
  • Working hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Location: Office-based in Longton with regional travel and hybrid work flexibility.

About the Role

As an Assistant Land Manager, you will play a key role in researching land and new homes opportunities, supporting the team in winning new business, and assisting in the sale of residential development land via auction, informal tender, or private treaty. The role also involves valuation, development appraisal, new homes pricing, and land sales progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate new land and development opportunities using online tools and marketing platforms.
  • Support the team in securing new business by attending client and site meetings.
  • Assist in marketing residential development sites, liaising with clients, managing enquiries, and progressing sales.
  • Work closely with Butters John Bee (BJB) branches to promote auction land lots and negotiate with bidders.
  • Attend team meetings and industry events.

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed in property.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • IT proficient with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Full UK manual driving licence (travel required).

The Finer Details

To be eligible to proceed in our recruitment process, you will need:

  • Legal entitlement to live and work in the UK (in accordance with the Immigration Asylum and Nationality Act 2006)
  • We'll need evidence of your right to work in the UK, in the form of:
    Passport/Birth Certificate
  • A clear copy of your valid Full UK Driving Licence
