Work with the HR Manager to provide an excellent HR service for the organisation.

Lead on the HR system (Staffsavvy), ensuring all onboarding and recruitment is completed in an efficient and timely fashion in line with internal policies and legal requirements. Work with the HR Manager to develop the system and maximise its use across the organisation.

Have a working knowledge of employment law, be able to offer first level advice to managers on HR policies and procedures. Act as the first point of contact for our employees on HR matters. Monitor and liaise with managers about sickness and probation, escalating any issues and seeking guidance from the HR Manager. Provide accurate and efficient HR coordination and administration.

Hours: 37 Hours full time permanent (30 hours also considered)
Holiday: 22 days per annum, plus all bank holidays in England per annum (pro rata for part time)

Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Qualified at CIPD Level 3, studying for the level 5 CIPD or gained relevant experience.
  • An understanding and knowledge of employment legislation and HR policies and procedures.
  • Professional and diplomatic with experience of working with confidential matters
  • Some experience of dealing with either sickness or probation or similar cases.
  • Compassionate and tactful when dealing with employee queries.
  • Excellent system skills and experience of being an administrator on a HR or recruitment system
  • Excellent administrative skills and demonstrable experience of undertaking a variety of HR-related administrative tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written, verbal and in-person, comfortable and competent with video conferencing
  • Skilled in data analysis using excel spreadsheets, creating word documents and designing presentations using powerpoint (or Google equivalents).
  • Proven organisational skills, able to work unsupervised and use own initiative
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to work accurately with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work to regular payroll deadlines
  • Ability to identify problems and find solutions.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and in a flexible manner.
