Position

We are looking for a caring Assistant House Manager to join the Care Team at Henshaws College. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced care worker to further develop their skilset whilst contributing to our cause of helping our students go beyond expectations.

Supporting management of a team of SEN Care Support Workers to provide a safe, effective, responsive, caring and well-led service that focuses on a person-centred approach to meet the care and learning needs of our students.

A few of the duties include:

  • Managing and motivating a team of SEN Care Support Workers
  • Reviewing and writing person centred and accurate Care Plans
  • Supporting the assessment process for potential new students.
  • Facilitate the recruitment, induction and retention of new staff members.
  • Supporting the house manager with the preparation of EHCP reviews.
  • Deputise for the House Managers when required.

Salary: £25,536.78 per annum (£13.58 per hour on weekdays / £15.08 per hour on weekends)

Hours: 40 hours

Weeks: 39 weeks (term time only)

Holiday: 6.81 weeks

Requirements

You'll be an experienced Care Worker within the care industry.

Hold a Diploma in Health and Social care level 2 and a willingness to work towards level 3 within two years.

Willingness to support students in a way that promotes their independence and development.

You're a flexible worker to meet the needs of our students and business objectives.

You're a keen advocate for continuous learning and development within your role.
