AtDerby Moor Spencer Academy, we take great pride in the facilities that we offerour students. Our school was re-built in 2013 and now features a welcomingentrance plaza, state of the art technology and a diverse range of learningspaces and sports facilities.

The Sixth Form leadership team are acollegiate and hardworking team of staff who care passionately about studentwelfare and attainment. Sixth Form academic and vocational provision hasdeveloped significantly over the past three years and we have a trend ofrapidly improving outcomes. Subjects are delivered by highly skilled, dedicatedand supportive practitioners who are passionate about their subject area. As aschool we have a strong focus on promoting employability skills and creatinglife-long learners.

The post holder will support the Head of SixthForm with the operational running of the Sixth Form. This will include therecruitment, induction, retention and academic monitoring of all Sixth Formstudents. They will provide teaching andlearning support to secure excellent standards of achievement, attendance,punctuality and standards while supporting the enrichment, personal developmentand wellbeing of all. They will supportstudents in their progression to Post 18 pathways, liaising with appropriatebodies and organising events to maximise student progression from Post 16 tothe next phase. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play an integralrole in an ever expanding andcompetitive Sixth Form.
