Location: Hampstead, London

Hours: 40 hours per week working Monday - Friday between 09:00 - 17:30 and 11:30 - 20:00 on a shift rotation basis

Package: Competitive salary + enhanced benefits & rewards

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join us at Fitzjohns, our luxury development of artistically designed apartments and facilities including spa, lounge bar and concierge service in the heart of Hampstead.

About our role

You will play a crucial role in supporting our Regional Operations team to successfully run our developments, each of which have been carefully designed and built to offer the highest levels of comfort, leisure and service to our owners.

As Assistant General Manager you will be seen as the main go-to-person and ambassador for the residents and wider stakeholders. Leading and supporting with the day to day operational running of the development and its facilities including liaising with the contracted property management company and contractors

You will be responsible for helping coordinate events for the residents, and managing the lifestyle communal facilities available within the development and ensure that they are well presented and available to be enjoyed at all times as well as be the key interface between our residents and Pegasus Homes, you will help everyone settle into their new homes and lead the lifestyle they are aiming for.

You will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and compliance within the developments is of a high standard, undertaking day to day tasks, and actively supporting with the likes of health and safety actions.

In addition to this, you will build lasting relationships with the residents at our development, offering a considered, thoughtful and professional approach to making their experience of living at our development an exceptional one.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the day to day running of the development, liaising with the contractors and relevant stakeholders
  • Carry out daily/weekly checks ensuring that the building: communal areas, garden and grounds are cleaned, maintained and secured to the highest standards, reporting any issues to the property management company
  • Work with the Property Manager to ensure that all equipment is fully operational, regularly serviced and maintained
  • Managing and supporting the onsite team, including rota and performance management.
  • Ensuring the maintenance and compliance within the development is of a high standard, undertaking day to day tasks personally and arranging and coordinating other maintenance through relevant high quality local contractors
  • Identifying and organising suitable social events and developing a community spirit
  • Ensuring all accounting for the development's budget is delivered in a completely transparent manner.
  • Taking the lead on managing Health and Safety at the development
  • Keeping Pegasus Homes informed of any notable events, Health and safety concerns and of any other relevance.
  • Actively support residents during the moving and settling-in process, ensuring the appropriate procedures are always followed.

About you

It is essential that you have relevant management experience gained within a property / facilities related role, and within a high quality / luxury setting. We will also be happy to consider those from hospitality if you have worked in a 5 star setting and relevant H&S and compliance experience.

You will have managed people and have a good general awareness of budgetary management and processes.

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths and English, or with role relevant vocational qualifications
  • Good general IT skills and familiarity with G-Suite (Google Docs etc.) is desirable but not essential
