Assistant Finance Manager

We are looking to recruit to an Assistant Finance Manager position in the Finance Team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate monthly management accounts, maintaining internal systems, aiding in audits, enhancing financial controls, supporting budgeting and forecasting, mentoring junior members, and fostering teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales rec - Reconcile the sales at the end of each month ensuring revenues balance between our various systems.
  • Preparing and processing the required month-end journals, keeping the relevant schedules up to date.
  • Providing Reports to Senior Managers - Providing month-end reports, product profitability and any ad hoc requests for financial information.
  • Budgeting - Assisting the product leads with the quarterly and annual budgeting process.
  • Forecasting - Providing the product leads with revenue and cost forecasts when required.
  • Control accounts - ensuring the balance is reflected in the associated schedules and any required adjustments and corrections are processed promptly.
  • T&C's payment terms - responding to and setting customer payment terms.
  • Credit Control - Be aware of any issues and lease with the relevant product lead to ensure the required finance actions are taken.
  • Audits - Assist with the audits ensuring the schedules you are responsible for are accurate and current. Responding to any queries concerning them.
  • Sales tax - Ensuring products have the correct sales taxes set.

Requirements

  • Experience in delivering management accounts in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of VAT regulations.
  • The ability to partner closely with senior management.
  • Organized and able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience
