Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To work with the Facilities Manager and other members of the team to ensure the efficient and effective running of a high quality service within a delegated budget

To provide operational management to the Housekeeping team, which encompasses the Housekeeping and Bed Turnaround teams, ensuring they provide a service in accordance with the needs of patients and maximise the contribution to the Trust and service objectives.

To ensure the relevant team members perform to agreed standards in accordance with Trust policy and procedure.

To review Housekeeping, Patient Food Service and Bed Turnaround Team services and to suggest and implement agreed changes.

To provide a highly professional service to patients, visitors and staff.

Support and guide the Housekeeping, Bed Turnaround Team and Housekeeping Food Service Team to deliver a great patient experience

Essential criteria

  • Minimum of 2-3 years in facilities management, housekeeping, or catering roles.
  • Infection Control and Food Safety Training/Qualification

Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a similar environment.
  • Familiarity with National Standards of Cleanliness and monitoring and audit systems
  • Experience of working with staff rotas .
