This is an opportunity to leverage your performance improvement and turnaround experience in a stimulating new environment. The Managed Exit team within our VCS practice is experiencing rapid growth and we now have multiple opportunities across the team to recruit high calibre delivery individuals.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with our clients in delivering performance improvement, predominantly in the area of corporate simplification and managed wind downs. Successful candidates will benefit from a demonstrable strong track record in delivering these types of projects, experience in navigating senior stakeholders and strong analytical skills, including Excel/PowerPoint capability.
You will be responsible for:
- Working on a range of advisory projects with regular interaction with management and finance/cross-function teams, boards of directors, lawyers, other advisors and teams from across Deloitte.
- Reporting to a Director but with ownership of managing corporate simplification and managed exit projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Assessing the financial, operational, and reputational implications of simplification and managed exit strategies; Contributing to the development of strategic recommendations for the optimal management of non-core assets or entities.
- Developing detailed project plans sometimes as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Designing and preparing financial outcome statements.
- Preparing entities for Members' Voluntary (solvent) Liquidation.
- Managing a variety of stakeholders with varied objectives.
- Participation in business development initiatives including conducting detailed analysis of legal entity structures, identifying opportunities for rationalisation, simplification and managed wind downs.
- Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
Connect to your skills and professional experience
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- A strong understanding of Restructuring and Insolvency legislation (CPI or JIE qualifications are desirable, but not a prerequisite).
- A detailed understanding of the UK Members' Voluntary Liquidation process (and other jurisdiction equivalents) and its implementation.
- Strong experience in preparing and implementing solvent wind down plans for controlled/orderly wind down outside of an insolvency process (relevant read across of experience from trading insolvencies will also be considered).
- ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience working with international legal entity structures and multi-jurisdictional projects.
- A proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-phased, cross-functional projects.
- A strong understanding of corporate law, tax implications, accounting principles and operational considerations related to legal entity reorganisation and entity liquidation/dissolution.
- Excellent numeracy skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to absorb and analyse large amounts of data quickly.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- A commitment to delivering an exceptional service to clients, with ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships.
- Agility to work on multiple internal and external initiatives simultaneously.
- Initiative to take on new challenges, within a supportive environment.
- Logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
- Proven project management and organisational skills.
