We are looking for a professional with Procurement & Supply Chain management experience working with Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management (FM) functions to join our advisory team as an Assistant Director. We are open to applications from people with a considerable level of professional experience within consulting or within industry.
As an Assistant Director in the team, you will be expected to lead client engagements across a range of industries.
Our recent engagements include:
- Development of CREFM procurement strategies for high profile, multi-billion dollar facilities and workplace services transformation programmes.
- Design of a property and supply chain transformation programme for a large UK public sector client.
- Creation and implementation of a procurement strategy for a global private sector tender of CRE & FM activities across the organisations entire real estate portfolio, including preparation of tender materials through to supplier negotiations.
- Development of a CRE and FM strategy for the delivery of a high-profile facilities and workplace services transformation programme.
- Design and establishment of a new target operating model for a client organisation, including the supply chain and service delivery models.
- Preparation of robust business cases supported by detailed strategic sourcing and category plans, including an in-depth analysis of potential service delivery models.

In the role as an Assistant Director, you will need to be able to:
Project Delivery:
- Take on responsibility for Engagement / Project Management of CRE & FM projects
- Act as the Project lead on large multidisciplinary transformational CRE & FM, workplace and procurement projects
- Form and resource project delivery teams
- Define and challenge client requirements and identify means of solving commercial and real estate problems
- Be responsible for providing day to day oversight and support for more junior team members
- Be a strong team player, capable of fulfilling different roles within project team
Business Development:
- Lead, support and coordinate specific bids and proposals that align with your goals
- Drive a specific initiative in your desired area of expertise
- Develop thought leadership and propositions to drive awareness and eminence
Team / Community Development:
- Manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
Support of-project initiatives:
- Work with the Partner/Director group to drive growth of the Private Sector Corporate Occupiers & Real Estate community in the UK and the Global network
Key skills we require:
- Knowledge of corporate real estate and facilities management industry, suppliers, and trends
- Strategic and tactical procurement and supply chain management experience either as a consultant or within industry
- Professional experience working with Corporate Real Estate / Facilities Management or equivalent functions across private sector industries, either in industry or consulting
- Professional qualification in a relevant area (e.g. MRICS, CIPS or equivalent) welcomed but not a pre-requisite if demonstrable experience in the industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise reports
- The ability to build strong, effective working relationships with multiple client stakeholders and work on own initiative
- Demonstrable experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships and supporting business or growth opportunities
- Excellent analytical skills including the ability to operate basic software such as PowerPoint and Excel to a high level
- Strong commercial acumen and market awareness

Infrastructure and Real Estate
Our Infrastructure and Real Estate team supports both public and private sector clients on complex infrastructure, real estate, and capital projects. Typical engagements include urban regeneration, transport, energy and renewables, and occupier advisory to central government and large corporate companies.

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
