Making a Difference as Assistant Director, People Management & Organisation Development

We have an ambitious transformation journey planned over the next 12 - 24 months which will enable integrated working to deliver an optimal employee experience and efficient operational processes, building on the excellent work to date.

To lead our transformation journey we have established a brand new role for an Assistant Director for People Management and Organisation Development to ensure strategic direction, and even more professional and efficient services commensurate with the size, scale and ambition of our organisation. This role will also lead and support collaboration with our partners across the Liverpool City Region, reflecting our commitment to sector wide development and improvement.

What we are looking for. . . .

This is a really exciting role at a pivotal time for our Council so we're looking for someone with the energy, enthusiasm and resilience to lead us forward in line with our values. You will be collaborative and thrive on working with colleagues at all levels of the organisation including our senior leadership team to deliver a brilliant experience for our internal and external customers. You will know your stuff when it comes to legislation, policy and transformational approaches with a strong ability to bring this to life using data-led approaches and creative organisational solutions. Most of all you will have drive, initiative and a passion for people management including workforce development.
