Assistant Director of Finance

In this highly influential role, you will be working closely with the Director of Finance and will act as the Deputy Section 151 officer. You will oversee the production our financial strategy and its implementation, promote excellent financial management and ensure compliance with our statutory duties. You will have responsibility for budget setting & management, financial accounting, internal audit, and treasury management.

So, it's no surprise that you'll be an experienced, strategic finance leader with a strong technical understanding of Local Government finance. You'll have a proven track record of developing and delivering strategic financial advice and services and implementing business and budgetary frameworks in a complex and changing environment. But above all, you'll have excellent leadership skills and behaviours, essential to leading a confident and high performing service of professionals.
