What you'll do

This unique role offers the exciting opportunity to work across our Marketplaces team with a focus on our lead partner, Zalando. This is an opportunity to leverage a sophisticated advertising platform Zalando Marketing Services (ZMS) and reach millions of engaged European fashion consumers across 25 markets. You will be responsible primarily for driving performance marketing channels (70%) and balancing mid to upper funnel brand driving channels (30%). You will also have the opportunity to work across our established direct to consumer business (D2C) to ensure our market-level strategy is aligned across both Marketplaces and D2C.

In this results-oriented role, 70% of your time will be focused on performance marketing:

  • Develop and execute strategic paid advertising campaigns on ZMS, utilising Sponsored Products to ensure prominent placement within Zalando search results. Imagine driving qualified traffic directly to your meticulously crafted product pages, maximising conversion potential.
  • Leverage deep customer insights provided by Zalando to meticulously target specific demographics and consumer interests. This allows for highly targeted campaigns that resonate with the right audience, be it young professionals seeking career-appropriate attire or environmentally conscious shoppers searching for sustainable fashion.
  • Employ sophisticated bid optimisation strategies to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of your campaigns. This requires a keen understanding of cost-per-click (CPC) models and the ability to optimise bids to achieve optimal return on investment (ROI).
  • Meticulously monitor and analyse campaign performance, utilising data-driven insights to refine strategies and continuously improve campaign effectiveness. Think A/B testing ad copy, optimising landing pages, and ensuring every click translates to a valuable customer interaction.

While performance remains a core focus, you will also dedicate 30% of your time to supporting brand marketing initiatives. You will lead interactions between M&S and marketplace brand, marketing & advertising teams, to identify new opportunities and troubleshoot pain points across functions. Maximising value from every interaction with our partners will be key, enabling you to develop win-win marketing activity on an enduring basis.

  • Support the development and execution of social media marketing strategies
  • Assist with influencer marketing campaigns, including identifying potential partners, supporting on managing relationships and reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with the PR team to leverage earned media opportunities and brand awareness initiatives. Work closely with the wider marketing and e-commerce teams to ensure all online activities are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Assist with the analysis and reporting of all digital marketing activities, providing insights to inform future strategies.
  • Ensure M&S is represented on marketplaces sites in line with our values, product credentials and overall International brand strategy including creation and maintenance of brand pages and supporting assets

Who you are

  • Proven experience in Paid Search (PPC)
  • Budget Management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Have a collaborative way of working and be highly organised with an eye for detail
  • Takes initiative and proactively solves problems with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Influencer, PR or Brand Marketing experience.
  • Familiarity with Zalando Marketing Services (ZMS) would be advantageous.
