Hosting events within a highly luxurious four-star property means that's every guest and their event, big or small, is to be looked after with the highest standards and attention to detail. The Banqueting team provide an excellent service day and night to ensure that every detail of an event exceeds the expectations of our guests. Our team are dedicated, friendly and hardworking and go over and above to ensure we meet our clients' requirements.

About the Position

As Assistant Conference and Events Operations Manager you will play a key role in hosting events throughout Bedford Lodge Hotel, ensuring an exceptional experience for both our corporate and leisure guests.

With no two days the same, you will have the self-motivation to thrive in a demanding environment and manage multi-tasking under pressure.

Working alongside our Conference and Events Operations Manager; you will be responsible for leading and coaching the banqueting team. Hosting an array of events from corporate conferences to dinners and weddings.

This is a short-term contract full-time position (45 hours per week), with the opportunity to continue in the new year. You will be working on rota basis, 5 days out of 7. You must be available to work evenings and weekends.

About You

  • You are approachable with strong communication skills and able to build strong relationships.
  • You are able to maintain consistency whilst thinking creatively.
  • You must be organised, timely and able to multi-task in a busy environment under pressure.
  • You are physically fit and able to walk and stand for prolonged periods.
  • You're proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • You must have impeccable in your personal appearance and standards with an eye for details.
  • Ideally, you have experience in events, however you will be given training as needed.
