We are a market leader in the Windows Computing hardware area for Tablets. However, there still remains a huge opportunity for us to continue to grow, and we are increasingly looking to innovate and differentiate our range and proposition across the area coupled with a thorough understanding of our customers' needs and reasons to purchase. We work closely with the biggest global brands, including Samsung, Lenovo and Amazon and play a key role in helping support the development and launch of the product roadmap into the UK market.

As an Assistant Buyer, you'll get to kick start your buying career in this fast-paced role. You'll support our Buyer/Senior Buyer to bring a fantastic range of products to our customers. With the chance to help negotiate with suppliers, you'll get hands-on experience at the heart of a highly skilled team.

Whatever direction you take in the future, you'll be well equipped to progress. To support your development, you'll have the opportunity to complete a Level 4 apprenticeship Buying & Merchandising! You'll be able to start your apprenticeship after 3 months of joining the team (subject to eligibility).

Key Responsibilities:

• Helping to manage supplier relationships in line with the category strategy
• Selecting and negotiating product ranges and pricing
• Keeping tabs on the competition so we can set competitive prices
• Analysing trading performance and recommending actions to drive our business

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience of being part of a buying function (as an Assistant buyer or Administrator) or a great working knowledge of Tablets
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• To be organised, analytical and numerate with good judgment
• Strong commercial awareness and a sense of customer needs
