Positioned within the commercial team, you will be right in the centre of a fast paced team. You'll get to develop your Buying career in this fast-paced role. As an Assistant Buyer in our Appliances team, you will support our Senior Buyer across a wide range of exciting products within Small Kitchen Appliances and work with major suppliers.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is in a Buying role, passionate, organised & ambitious and wants to develop their career within Buying in a key category for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Helping to manage supplier relationships in line with the category strategy
- Selecting and negotiating product ranges and pricing
- Keeping tabs on the competition so we can set competitive prices
- Analysing trading performance and recommending actions to drive our business
Key skills:
- Experience of being part of a Buying function (as an Assistant Buyer or Buying Administrator) essential
- Experience in an electrical background preferable
- Great working knowledge of technical products
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Organised, analytical and numerate with good judgment
- Strong commercial awareness and a sense of customer needs
