Job Description

Temporary contract until 31 March 2026 | £30,559 to £32,654 per annum (Scale G) | 37 hours per week | County Hall, Norwich

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Business Manager to join our Adult Social Services Business Support team. The successful candidate will plan, manage, and deliver a wide range of business support to operational managers and staff, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and high standards of customer care. This role involves continuous improvement of Business Support procedures and overseeing the deployment of staffing resources to support an operational team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, direct, manage, and develop a large team to ensure full engagement and monitor workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Handle multiple requests from operational staff and senior management while managing a team and ensuring business as usual.
  • Resolve conflicts within the team and manage underperforming staff effectively.
  • Utilise technology to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Requirements:

You will possess proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a business support or administrative setting. Strong leadership and team management skills are essential. The candidate must exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. It is crucial to have the capability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in using all Microsoft Office tools is required.
