Assistant Brand Manager
We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and business-critical Brand Marketing team, where the Assistant Brand Manager will be central in supporting the development and future growth of a leading brand in our portfolio. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, this role will help to build brand equity, long-term value and consumer engagement; working with stakeholders of all levels across and outside the business to deliver a category leading communications plan.
Key accountabilities
The Assistant Brand Manager is responsible for the following key outputs and accountabilities:
Activity planning
- Take lead in development of an engaging brand social media plan; translating global content and adding locally created content to drive relevance and build meaningful connections to recruit consumers to the brand
- Work closely with agency partners to deliver quality creative adapts in line with media plan or other key marketing initiatives; leading project management from briefing to execution and fostering exceptional working relationships.
Brilliant activation
- Support the content and ambassador agencies in development and delivery of exciting relevant local content as part of the social media and ambassador plans
- Project manage selected initiatives with excellence, energising and influencing the cross-functional and external teams to ensure successful implementation of plans
- Brand lead tactical PR & trade initiatives
- Support across the board large ATL campaigns (including partnership initiatives)
- Support across E&E initiatives
Ongoing measurement
- Understand and apply consumer and market insight to planning process
- Review and adapt plans to meet commercial and brand performance targets
- Budget and POS management for relevant projects
- Support regular Brand performance tracking to meet commercial and consumer brand performance targets and including specific ownership of 0.0% performance
Experience required
- Experience in FMCG or drinks brand activation in the UK are a benefit
- Proven experience in managing projects through to successful completion
- Be able to demonstrate an understanding of marketing as well as commercials
- Experience in managing relationships beyond direct control
- Demonstration of ability to communicate on many levels - up and down, internal, external and to influence and achieve results through others
