About the Role:
As the Assistant Area Branch Manager, you will support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day operations of our Belfast branch, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient branch performance, and the achievement of sales targets. You will play a key role in leading and developing the team, maintaining high standards of health and safety, and driving business growth in the Scotland & Northern Ireland area.
Day to day activities will also include:
- Assist in leading and motivating the team to achieve individual and branch targets. Provide coaching and support to enhance team performance and drive engagement.
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations, ensuring efficient processes and adherence to company policies. Address operational challenges promptly to maintain service quality.
- Track and analyse performance metrics, including branch quote conversion rates and overrides, providing insights and recommendations to the Branch Manager for continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing their needs and concerns to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Manage customer terms, pricing, and account management to ensure competitive offerings and maintain profitability while meeting customer expectations.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimising excess stock. Collaborate with the team to implement effective stock management practices.
- Identify training needs within the team and facilitate development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring the team is equipped to meet customer demands.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe and productive work environment for all staff.
- Assist in the implementation of strategies and promotional activities to drive branch growth and market share.
- Participate in regular performance evaluations of team members, providing constructive feedback and recognising achievements.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., supply chain, finance) to ensure seamless operations and effective communication across the branch.
- Prepare regular reports on performance, operational efficiency, and customer feedback to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
