Cambus is an integral site in Scotch spirit supply chain, handling over 9000 tankers of new make & mature spirit per year. A site that includes a Tank Farm, Cooperage, Traditional Cask Filling store, Bodega Cask Processing plant, and Barrel Parks, Cambus is one of our busiest production sites in the Scotch category!

About the role:

The asset care reliability business leader role is part of the Cambus hub management team & duty manager rotation. An integral role supporting the operational business leaders across all areas on site. Key stakeholder and relationships include the central asset care, project engineering and manufacturing excellence teams. The role is a key point of contact, providing technical assistance to the intact craft personnel embedded within the operational teams on site. Maintaining and building relations across the multiple sites within maturation and the wider Scotch business to share best practice and explore opportunities to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Standards and compliance to maintenance regulatory standards at all times.

  • Ensure MMS Asset Care practices are integrated into Tier 1 & 2 operational processes across multiple areas

  • Support development and execution of the weekly maintenance schedule to ensure maximum equipment availability and attend Daily Operational Review meetings, and take appropriate action to provide support to course correct non-conformance, and to root cause situational problems.

  • Ensure all aspects of work order and technical planning is delivered with Tier 1 input. This includes spare parts planning for planned work to optimise Mean time between failure, ensuring the highest asset availability.

  • Take ownership for the development of maintenance and machine technical skills across shifts and support site management with the repair and maintenance budget to ensure prioritisation and control of spend.

  • Continuous Improvement - support situational problem-solving activity and effectiveness

Experience / skills required:

Do you have a detailed and methodical approach to data, and a robust project management style? Are you structured and forward looking? If so and you have strong attention to detail, this might be the right role for you!

Essential

  • Time Served (HNC or above / local equivalent) Electrical or Mechanical trade certification

  • Relevant IBD qualification and NEBOSH General Certificate or willing to complete

  • Ability to support people performance, mentor and develop a multi-disciplined team

  • • Proactive structured problem-solving skills learnt through exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, TPM or ManEx

  • Expert knowledge of RCPS, 5S, Set Up Time Reduction, Autonomous Maintenance

  • Track record of maintenance management - Performance improvement, planning effectiveness and maintenance schedule alignment, CI, backlog, maintenance mix

Desirable

  • Good solid understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and standards

  • Commercial understanding of production & supply chain management. Financially aware - Capex, R&M

  • Deep knowledge of ME, lean methodologies, process control, Reliability Centered Maintenance & Autonomous Maintenance

Experience

Proven 5 years Experience record in a manufacturing or Operational environment.
