About The Role

An exciting opening has arisen for an Asset and Licensing Manager within Digital Services. Reporting to the Commissioning and Commercial Planning Manager you will be part of a small team playing a crucial role in supporting the department and the council effectively manage its IT resources.

We are seeking an ambitious and proficient person to help establish this pivotal new role.

With a clear understanding and experience of ITIL service management processes you will be in charge of licensing, asset and infrastructure management. Creating processes and maintaining consistent and accurate records to effectively manage costs.

In the role you will:

  • Set up the IT Asset management and software asset management policies and processes.
  • Keep accurate cost information about hardware and software assets via tracking to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage compliance activities for disposing of hardware assets.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with software and hardware resellers.
  • Support colleagues within Digital Services to understand the licensing effects of project implementations and application upgrades.
