Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Managerto join our team in Swindon.

The Role

We are looking to add to a full time Area Sales Manager to join our growing team at Grant and Stone Electrical Swindonbranch.

The ideal candidate should be customer focus, conscientious with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The position requires previous electrical wholesale experience with good product knowledge.

Full training will be provided with company benefits including company pension and employee discount scheme.

Main Duties

  • Develop product knowledge by attending supplier training roadshows and any in house product training.
  • Ensure customers receive prompt, efficient and polite service at all times
  • Manage your telephone communication professionally. Return missed calls promptly and utilize voice mail facility appropriately.
  • Provide customers with advice and guidance on the selection and use of products and support colleagues in your areas of expertise.
  • Maximise sales using linked selling and other appropriate skills
  • Drive sales forward using appropriate selling techniques. Eg effective quotation follow up, proactive promotional selling, effective telephone marketing.
  • Manage, monitor and effectively use customer special terms.
  • When on site be prepared to offer prices to secure the order at the maximum profitability to the Company, always mindful of the overheads involved in fulfilling that order. Ensure branch is advised of any relevant pricing activity, so that a record may be kept.
  • When appropriate forward sufficient information to your branch contact to ensure a proper quotation may be raised.

The Requirements

Clean driving licence

Experience in a merchanting sales environment

Technical ability to take-off quantities from plans

Any industry recognised training/certification

The Hours

Week 1: Monday to Friday 07:00-17:15

Week 2: Monday to Friday 07:00-17:15 & Saturday 08:00-12:00
