Area Sales Manager

Location: Peterborough

Sector: Wholesale Building Materials

Salary: up to £39,000 + Bonus scheme, Performance bonus, Quarterly bonus

Full time 42.5-hour shifts per week, Monday - Friday

We are currently seeking an Area Sales Manager who can cultivate strong customer relationships and drive repeat business. Join us!

Responsibilities

Build relationships with larger customers / decision makers / buyers who are likely to be working on bigger projects

Responsible for regularly interacting with branch customers and maintaining a pipeline of future business, serving as a vital communication link between the branch and its customers.

Maintaining close relationships with regular customers.

Visiting customer sites to provide advice and support on projects related to our products.

Following up and updating notes on quotes from previous weeks until they are secured or analyzing the reasons for their loss.

Proactively pursuing potential customers.

Actively utilizing the lead generation database to track and secure new projects.

Supporting the branch by assisting and advising customers when needed.

Identifying potential areas for improvement in customers, products, and competition.

Providing accurate weekly reports on activities and significant changes in the local market (competitors, contractor activity) to the National Sales

Requirements

Experience within the building materials industry required.

At least 3 years' experience
