Job Summary:

NetApp is hiring an Area Marketing Manager for the UK & Ireland Area.

Reporting to the EMEA & LATAM Area Marketing Director within the EMEA & LATAM Field and Demand Team the Area Marketing Manager is responsible for developing plans to increase pipeline and revenue, improve brand awareness, and identify potential customers.

As part of the UK & I Area Executive committee, the Area Marketing Manager works closely with the area sales leaders to plan sales and marketing promotional activities.

This senior role is the conduit between demand and sales teams to drive go-to-market strategies, enable sales on marketing campaigns and initiatives that are being executed in their AREA and is the single point of contact for sales.

Area Marketing Managers are also responsible for reporting and providing sales with marketing performance on campaigns and events touching their AREAs and leveraging insights for future campaign planning needs.

Role responsibilities:

  • Understands the data & analyse area market opportunities and challenges.
  • Aligns area strategy to help meet the needs of the sales organization while understanding marketing priorities and how we contribute to the bottom line.
  • Is a key contributor to yearly and quarterly AREA plans to support sales goals and priorities with locally relevant programs and events.
  • Works with Demand Marketing Team on agreeing which programs should be executed within which countries.
  • Proofreads and gets sign off for localised campaign and promotional assets.
  • Works with Events, partner marketing and comms to execute effectively on locally impactful events.
  • Keeps sales accountable to driving the right calibre of contacts to events.
  • Enables sales on marketing campaigns and drives MQA analysis with sales leadership.
  • Builds the bridge between sales and program teams, and ensuring sales and marketing programs are aligned and supports sales with aligned program execution.
  • Provides AREA specific campaign and event metric back to Area Sales leadership.

Job Requirements:

  • Strategic Data Analysis: Dive into market data, understand trends, and turn challenges into opportunities to propel our sales efforts.
  • Aligned Growth Strategies: Seamlessly integrate AREA strategies with sales needs, always with an eye on the bigger marketing picture and our financial goals.
  • Quarterly Planning: Take the lead in crafting comprehensive plans that resonate with local markets and support our overarching sales targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work together with Demand Marketing Teams to determine the most effective program execution strategies.
  • Quality Content Oversight: Ensure that campaign materials are flawless and aligned with local needs, obtaining necessary approvals for localized assets.
  • Event Execution Excellence: Partner with Events, partner marketing, and comms teams to deliver high-impact local events, maintaining a standard of excellence.
  • Sales Enablement & Accountability: Empower sales teams with marketing knowledge and hold them to high standards in event participation and follow-up.
  • Sales-Marketing Synergy: Forge strong connections between sales and program teams, ensuring seamless program implementation and feedback loops.
  • Located ideally in the London Area.

Skill requirements:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a comprehensive understanding of the IT and B2B landscape.
  • Your educational background, whether it's a Degree or an MBA in Economics or Marketing, complements your experience in the IT sector.
  • You are a natural influencer, capable of guiding teams and initiatives without direct authority, and you possess an intrinsic motivation that propels you to exceed expectations.
