About the Role

This four-year programme is structured to get the very best out of you. Year one will see you in college full time, split between the classroom and the workshop as you learn the fundamentals. Year two and three will be on-site four days a week, with one day in college to study for your Engineering HNC. Year four will be based in the workplace full time working alongside time served professionals as a key member of the team.

Cameronbridge is Diageo's only grain distillery in Scotland and the site must be able to resolve any utility or compliance issues rapidly and continually operate at the highest possible efficiencies. Cameronbridge has added complexity with its local on River Leven, taking from the river for cooling water as well as ensuring return to the river is clean. The site plays an integral role on the River Leven Trust to ensure the wider ecosystem is sustainable.

Who are we looking for?

Academically we are looking for 3 National 5's (or Global equivalent) including English, Mathematics and a relevant technical or science subject. Please note that we will only be able to accept applications from people who have already achieved these grades.

What are the Career Paths after the programme?

At the end of the programme, you will have obtained your Engineering HNC.

As an Engineer, you will have deep understanding of our operations. Depending on your interests, you can also work towards a variety of Manufacturing roles, such as Technicians, Maintenance support teams and many more!

What should I expect from the selection process?

Selecting the right individuals to join our programme is crucial to us - we want to see all that complete this Apprenticeship succeed and keep crafting a satisfying career!

This is why we have built a robust selection process:

  • 1st STEP - CV application and Pymetrics assessment

At this stage, it is important that you submit your updated CV, clearly stating your highest acquired education and your experience.No prior experience is required to be considered for the apprenticeship program. A brief description of your part time jobs, volunteering, sports, and hobbies can be a fantastic way to introduce yourself.

Right after your CV submission, you will receive an email with a link to Pymetrics to participate in an online game based assessment. Please make sure to complete the set in a quiet environment with no distraction and stable Wi-Fi.

If you successfully pass the first stage, you will then be invited to the second step.

If you successfully pass the first screening stage, you will then be invited to the second step.

  • 2nd STEP - Video Interview (Hirevue)

  • 3rd Step - Assessment Centre

Some roles and locations may also be subject to a 4th stage where you will be invited to site to meet with additional managers for a tour to help you fully understand the role you are applying for.
