Person specification

Education/Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Educated to Masters level in a relevant area of academic practice or equivalent experience working at a commensurate band / level.

Desirable criteria

  • To have at least one of the below project management qualifications or equivalent level of experience: • Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner. • PRINCE2 Practitioner. • Managing Successful Programmes Advanced Practitioner. • P3O Practitioner. • APM Registered Project Professional. • Project Leadership Programme. Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to role.

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Significant experience of scoping, designing, implementing and evaluating digital transformational change projects across organisations.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working in portfolio and/or programme management environment.

Skills /Abilities

Essential criteria

  • Able to negotiate on difficult and contentious issues including performance and change.

Desirable criteria

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to engage successfully with a wide range of people at all levels within the organisation.

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • An understanding of the NHS England healthcare system and how it is changing.

Desirable criteria

  • An understanding of the background and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement.
