Amplifi is the supply-side platform of dentsu, consisting of three pillars: Investment Management, Media Trading (Media Owner Services and Principal Buying) and Content (Original Partnerships & Entertainment); all underpinned by Supply-Side Management practises.

  • Investment Management: Local management of productivity and all media buying and activation across all media channels to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Trading: Leverage our group buying power to enable innovation and product development with the supply side to provide a competitive offering for our clients and sustainable media income for dentsu.
  • Entertainment Content: Enabling new business models through content development, financing, acquisition, and distribution.
  • Supply-Side management: The three pillars are all under-pinned by Supply-side management for dentsu. This is focused on the modernisation of our approach including the one entity for the management of all media owner procurement with a clear focus on robust and rigorous processes.

We're hiring for a Senior Commercial Operations Manager, EMEA as part of Amplifi in London.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to act, for the EMEA region, as a line of defence for the business to ensure the risk associated with supply side income is managed considering the wider global diversification effort to more sustainable media income models

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse the transactional processes and gain an understanding of revenue models for all media income types and vendor due diligence to drive income protection and diversification in the EMEA region.
  • Provide recommendations for SMI (Sustainability of Media Income) risk management and supporting tools enhancement.
  • In consultation with process leads, assist with the development of compliance processes and tools and ensure market delivery.
  • Perform/lead onsite and desktop SMI reviews.
  • Monitor the implementation of recommendations plans agreed during the review.
  • Prepare commercial reviews reports and presentations for key stakeholders.
  • Work with the Commercial Operations Directors to support the Commercial team on understanding sources of media income and identify opportunities that could be delivered from the diversification program.
  • Support the Commercial Operation Directors with maintaining the Amplifi SMI risk register and the principal buying (Agyle) business case review process.

Qualifications + Skills

  • Candidate fluent in English (other EMEA language optional).
  • Experience of 5 years+ setting up/ managing reviews and multiple projects (media industry experience, nice to have).
  • Critical thinker and the ability to build rapport / credibility with local market stakeholders a must. Moreover, must have strong communication, negotiation and report writing skills.
  • Background/ experience in risk management and/ or audit.
