Job Title: Aircraft Radar Systems Equipment Engineer

Salary: Up to £52,426 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage / expedite supporting documentation in liaison with SMEs (subject matter experts)
- Provide technical Engineering interface into Parker – Meggitt
- Supporting on a day to day basis and attending the PM meetings
- Providing internal status reports & presenting documents
- Supporting the integration of the Radome onto the platform
- Management of looking after the legacy of Radome
- Support of legacy products (maintenance and upkeep of products)
- Supporting occasional aircraft flight/ equipment trials testing
Essentials:
- HNC or Equivalent in an STEM subject engineering field (or demonstrable professional experience working in a relevant engineering roles)
- Adequate knowledge of engineering development lifecycles (systems/software/hardware)
Desirable:
- Experience of testing avionics systems
- Knowledge and appreciation of RF transmissions theory
- Knowledge of composite materials
- Experience of using JIRA, PLM/Teamcentre

The Aircraft Systems Equipment team:
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in Systems and Equipment Engineering tasks as well as providing limited support to the ECRS Mk2 Lead Engineer. The role is centred on the ECRS Mk2 Radome and Radar elements operating on current and future Avionics products but may extend to other programmes.
The role is challenging, wide-ranging and will involve working closely with Suppliers, Procurement, sub-system teams, systems integrators and engineering management. It requires strong organisational skills and the ability to develop positive and proactive internal and external relationships. A self sufficient approach to managing tasks is essential.
