Job Title: Aircraft Ground Equipment Driver

Location: RAF Lossiemouth

Salary: £25,534

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will be in volved in the delivery of all contracted items of AGE (Aircraft ground equipment), TMEC (Test equipment) and Role Equipment in line with requested priorities
  • Ensure TyTAN output is achieved and delivered and coordinate interactions with those we are tasked to support (e.g Forward Squadrons , support bays, Ground Equipment Flight, Logistics support squadron, etc.)
  • Your role will require that all supply activities are undertaken in line with both required policies and the Defence Logistics Framework and that compliance with relevant policies are maintained including issuing and receipting (internal and external) of Classified, Crypto and NEO (Nation eyes only) equipment in accordance with JSP 440 (Security publication)
  • You will support and deliver continued improvement contributions within the wider BAES RAF Lossiemouth Logistics team
  • Ensure you support the wider 4 Hangar teams in the storage, distribution and accounting of assets
  • Carry out hangar husbandry duties including the use of both ride on and handheld floor scrubbing machine
  • You will undertake the role of the SHE coordinator for the RAF Lossiemouth supply SHE plan

Your skills and experiences:

  • Driving Licence – Essential, with the ability to tow equipment (Held for 2 years)
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, self-starter & proactive
  • Good time management
  • Good communication
  • IT literate & numerate

The Logistics team:

This is a multi-skilled and diverse team. Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Aircraft ground equipment driver is directly accountable for the on base transportation of all items of AGE, TMEC and Role Equipment as defined in the TyTAN contract.
