Purpose of role

The Agile Delivery Manager supports the pillars at sub domain level. They are focused on value delivery and outcomes. They use a raft of data and metrics to detect trends, identify patterns and solve problem. They partner with Engineering and Product to reduce waste to help teams to achieve Autonomy, Accountability and Alignment to value outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Agile Leads
  • Is recognised as an expert in agile delivery across the product and technology organisation
  • Reviews and develops processes, methodologies, and agile best practices for product and project delivery, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between pillar sub domains to promote knowledge sharing, innovation, and the identification of opportunities for cross-functional improvement.
  • Analyse performance metrics and KPIs to identify trends and areas for continuous improvement.
  • An expert problem solver; deploying a range of mechanisms to identify, analyse and drive out resolutions
  • Supports the definition, documentation and execution of small projects or sub-projects, agreeing and reviewing project approach, engagement and communications plans and quality and performance criteria with project partners.
  • Supports complex sub domain projects, coordinating analysis, delivery, recommendation and implementation whilst ensuring governance is maintained.
  • Supports issue escalations, dependencies and project changes, ensuring timely intervention and communication to stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifies and manages risk through regular assessment and diligent execution of controls and mitigations, proactively raising any concerns.
  • Supports the development, documentation and implementation of projects and change initiatives in line with Entain Group policies and strategies, defining and maintaining realistic project plans and tracking progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.
  • Supports timely reporting on project performance and where decision making is required, providing all information needed to enable well-informed decision making.
  • Ensures 3rd party project delivery activity complies with the commercial obligations, risks and interdependencies defined within external delivery contract for their projects.

Qualifications

Specialist skills and experience

  • In depth understanding of the product lifecycle and delivery of business outcomes.
  • Proficient in all aspects of delivery including selection of framework to use.
  • Good understanding of Agile Methodologies. Can select a set of adaptive and collaborative approaches to product and project management that prioritize flexibility, customer involvement, and iterative progress.
  • Experienced in Continuous Improvement, the ability to systematically identify, analyze, and implement incremental enhancements and optimizations in processes, practices, and products, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and refinement within an organization.
  • Previous experience of organisational transformation and change management.
  • A good understanding of Governance & Assurance, and the ability to apply organisational policies and procedures to manage and control organisation processes.
  • Well-versed in conflict resolution; resolves customer conflicts and identifies, remediates potential areas of risk. Investigating, documenting, and resolving conflicts and issues.
  • Uses data to solve complex problems. Can interpret and communicate complex data sets presenting findings in a clear, concise, and organised manner to inform decision-making, support problem-solving, and facilitate understanding among relevant stakeholders
  • Well-versed in removing impediments. Identifies, evaluates and manages interference, obstacles and potential risks that have a negative impact on the sprints' velocity or overall performance.
  • Good knowledge of organisational strategy and how that relates to their own teams vision, mission, strategy and OKRs.
  • Solid understanding of how to drive value outcomes in teams.
  • Managerial/leadership responsibilities:
  • Develop and communicate clear goals and objectives for the team aligned to our business strategy.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, actively coaching the team to develop and grow, creating development opportunities as they arise.
  • Create a positive and productive work environment that motivates and inspires people to perform their best work.
