Advocacy is a central aspect of Suntory Global Spirits ambition to premiumise and enhance the relevancy of our brands as those that people truly love. Our advocacy team will create the credible connections between our brands and the influential consumers/trade in trend-forward markets. This role is an opportunity to share expertise and build capability within the organisation. This is a highly cross-functional role, with the opportunity to work with an exceptional portfolio of brands while leading a team of expert Brand Ambassadors.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of the Brand Advocacy Strategy for the UK market.
  • Support the UK market in building capability of our Brand Ambassadors, by providing consistency in spirits education, brand key messages/stories and product information.
  • Lead a team of 7 Brand Ambassadors, representing across the portfolio of Suntory Global Spirits brands.
  • Partnering with global brand houses, develop resources and tools that support our Brand Ambassadors in delivering education to the bartending community.
  • Build the network of brand ambassadors, enabling shared learning experiences and career path opportunitiesPartner with global brand houses as the lead consultant in brand-led bartender engagement programs & initiatives.
  • Provide insight and expertise on the role of advocacy & bartender engagement
  • Externally focused, bring the voice of the bartender community into the organisation, focusing on brand advocacy initiatives.
  • Support in setting & managing brand advocacy KPIs
  • Build an army of advocates internally at by creating immersive experiences to learn and re-create our serve strategies at home, with friends and family.
  • Lead in the creation of a toolkit that enables Brand Ambassadors to deliver engaging, relevant & informative training sessions with bartenders on the spirits category, our brands, products and respective serve strategies.
  • Provide opportunities for our Brand Ambassador community to connect, learn and be inspired by each other, as well as provide the organisation with valuable insights into brand advocacy within the UK market.
  • Establish a brand ambassador onboarding program
  • Deliver a structured Brand Ambassador education program
  • By identifying gaps in Brand Ambassador expertise, develop plans that help to build their engagement potential with customers.
  • Develop a framework that supports our Brand Ambassadors in building their careers within the industry.

Qualifications

  • On Premise Marketing & Activation experience, specifically in Brand Advocacy initiatives - min 6 years
  • Experience in building capability and On Premise trade engagement programs for premium and/or luxury brands- min 4 years
  • Previous experience working within the On-Premise Channel as a Brand Ambassador, On Premise Education consultant or Field Sales Manager will be highly desired.

Key skills and behaviours

  • Previous experience in leading teams of brand ambassadors
  • Extensive project and budget management experience
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams
