Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • ILM Level 4 Diploma in Leadership and Management or willingness to complete within 2 years of appointment.
  • Evidence of Continual Professional Development
  • Recognised Qualification in Improvement Methodology or a willingness to complete within 2 years.
  • PRINCE II foundation or willing to complete within 2 years

Desirable criteria

  • Advanced Excel

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Participation in improvements/ change management projects and process re-engineering
  • Problem identification and solving
  • Significant experience of working within a demanding/high intensity administrative setting
  • Ability to deliver deadlines on a wide range of administrative/project processes
  • Proven ability to analyse and appropriately present information so that it is easy to understand.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working within an improvement/ modernisation/ project environment
  • Management of small projects
  • Experience of managing staff

Skills

Essential criteria

  • Advanced keyboard skills with the ability to manipulate large amounts of data at high speed and with great accuracy.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and organise / prioritise own & team workload.
  • Ability to deal with difficult / challenging issues with tact and sensitivity
  • Sound judgment, decision making, and organisational skills

Desirable criteria

  • Conflict resolution
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and deliver practical and workable solutions.

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Knowledge and understanding of project methodology and its application
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite of products (particularly Excel and Access)
  • Knowledge of the NHS

Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
