An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Lukes Treatment Centre for an Admin Manager.

In addition to having effective interpersonal skills, you will be adept at both working as part of a team and able to act on your own initiative. You will also be an effective communicator with excellent organisational skills. You will line manage a designated staff group on site and work closely with both Operational and Clinical Teams to provide an excellent service.

As an Admin Manager it will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values reflect those of UHL.

The post holder will need to be flexible as they may be required to undertake cross site working to meet the needs of the service.

At present hours are worked over a 5 day working week. Normal working hours for the department are between 8am and 5pm; however, flexibility will be required to work between the hours of 7.30 am to 7.00pm on certain days

Main duties of the job

  • Ensure policies / procedures are in place
  • Line management of operational staff
  • Day to day trouble shooting and solution finding
  • Integrated with wider Community operational and admin team
  • Work closely with both Clinical and Operational teams on a daily basis and future planning to provide a safe and efficient service

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To line manage designated administration staff within the agreed site/s. Facilitate the continuous provision of high quality administrative support to medical/healthcare professionals, service users and UHL in the Community Management.

Work closely with the Service Manager in providing leadership, direction and support to administrative staff, whilst developing effective working relationships, efficient practices and a motivated workforce.

Support the Service Manager in the management of outpatient waiting lists in compliance with local, regional and national targets, policies and initiatives

Essential criteria

  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent
  • Management qualification or equivalent demonstrated by current working experience

Desirable criteria

  • CLAIT (or similar qualification)

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Minimum of two years' experience of working with clinicians and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of managing waiting time targets
  • Direct line management of non-clinical staff

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Please note if you are successful in obtaining this position and the post involves regulated activity you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service check.

The Trust will pay for the check initially and the money will then be deducted from your salary over a three month period commencing on your first month's payment.

The current price of a check is £38 for an enhanced and £18 for a standard check.
