Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Improve the awareness for internal Chartwells stakeholders of our commitment to delivering social value locally, so they may be encouraged to participate in Social Value delivery
  • Support a culture of engagement with all our people so that they understand the role they need to play in social value delivery
  • Project manage projects for the social value team, supporting the team with tools, techniques and programme coordination
  • Create and maintain the social value programme schedule
  • Support the launch of projects to the business
  • Gather data to evidence Social Value status for Chartwells
  • Ongoing reporting of all Social Value related projects, nationally, regionally and locally.
  • Devise reporting mechanisms and monitor social value activity so that business decisions can be informed and responsive
  • Create and manage an internal network of Social Value Ambassadors so they can encourage local teams to participate in Social Value delivery
  • Acts as the gatekeeper and point of contact for Social Value collateral
  • Contribute to business development activity including bid submissions

Our ideal Added Value Manager will:

  • At least 3 years' experience working in project and/or change management
  • Analytical capability and an interest in data to drive solutions
  • Experience of multi-partner working to deliver community impact
  • Project and change management (or similar) methodology certification/qualification
  • Strong communications skills and clear expertise
  • Analytical capability and an interest in digital technology/solutions
  • Confidence explaining complex issues in an easy and understandable way
  • Effective management of key internal stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with high professional standards and integrity.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a strong risk awareness and thorough understanding of processes and controls.
  • Commercially aware and strategically focused.
  • In-depth knowledge of internal controls, quality improvement, and auditing standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations effectively.
  • Quick to understand and action quality improvement issues and business requirements.
  • Ability to identify and address problems/situations that require attention promptly.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of functioning effectively in teams, one-on-one situations, and audit presentations.
  • Effective writing, presentation, and listening skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven track record as an effective team player and leader.
