Actuarial Developer

Work location based in London/Cambridge with hybrid working, you will join the team Capital and Reinsurance Pricing Development Actuary. Develop the market-leading ISM (Igloo Standard Model), used by insurers and reinsurers around the world.

 

The Role

  • Develop the market-leading ISM (Igloo Standard Model), used by insurers and reinsurers around the world for capital modelling and reinsurance pricing
  • Work with clients and other partners to design, develop and implement new technologies and statistical techniques
  • Contribute to Igloo product development, working with the development team to shape the future of Igloo
  • Be at the forefront of stochastic modelling with a broad and growing variety of applications

Qualifications

What you’ll bring 

  • Newly or nearly qualified actuary or equivalent
  • Experience of reinsurance pricing or capital modelling 
  • Demonstrable interest in coding and AI. Expertise in a coding language, preferably Igloo or Python
  • Excellent client relationship skills: ability to develop strong relationships quickly and maximize resources effectively to achieve goals
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high pressure environment and self sufficient
  • Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to work in a performance-driven environment managing multiple deliverables
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong experience with applicant tracking systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a numerical based degree
