The Role
12 month FTC
Hiring range: £26,000 - *£28,000 dependent on experience.While our hiring range starts at £26,000, we are prepared to offer our top range to a candidate who brings proven expertise and experience, ideally with a minimum of 2 years of Activation experience.
Main Purpose of the Role
Working on a portfolio of agencies and clients across the UK. Ensuring campaigns are set up correctly and delivered as per the deal caveats. Liaising with the Business Development and Trading team raising any issues or commercial opportunities across our family of areas and Channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Close co-operation, communication and integration within Activation between Trading, Business Development and Partnership Teams and across the regional offices to ensure best practice rolled out.
- Strong customer service levels across all key agencies and clients. ⎯ Management of deal delivery
- Manage airtime and maximise revenue where possible.
- Close relationships with Business Development teams.
- Creativity in all aspects of the role.
- Efficient trading balance management across our family of channels
- Delivery positions are met and adhered to supporting Senior Activation Executive.
- Contribute to accurate forecasting ensuring revenues are set up correctly and on time
- Be a centre of excellence for maximising campaign successes for our clients ⎯ Strong admin support on contracts to free up external Business Development, Partnerships and Trading teams
- Close collaborative working with teams in London
Management of airtime and maximisation revenue
Booking of Airtime
- Ensure that campaigns are set up and logged correctly in the booking system;
- Book and control the PYO element of each campaign as directed by Managers in MCUK and across the regions;
- Check that schedules fulfil no more than the terms of the deal and are in line with the trading plan and that problems are resolved prior to delivery to the agency;
- Ensure that each campaign has the correct money booked against it within the deadlines specified;
- Ensure that broadcast admin controls and deadlines are met;
- Move or resolve inefficient spots
Trading
- Work closely with Trading team and your line manager on all deal parameters • Advise the wider team of any new / late sales opportunities which arise from their contact with agencies;
- Advise the manager of any issues that arise which may affect specific pieces of business so that a resolution may be found;
- Keep up to date and knowledgeable with regard to company sales policy and being able to use this information when negotiating airtime issues/audience changes etc
- Being fully conversant with all key software used to maximise efficiency and effectiveness
- Work with your fellow Activation Execs across hubs to ensure every opportunity is taken to cross sell VOD onto a spot campaign.
Reconciliation
- Any significant change in the debt or credit position must be advised to the Senior Sales Executive, work together to ensure that each month's business is reconciled promptly.
- Execs will provide reports on the status on each piece of business
Servicing of agencies and management of deals
Contact and Communication
- Execs will visit their agencies regularly or as necessary
- Agencies must be kept up to date with moves, cancellations and programming changes;
- Executives will communicate any issues that the agency has to the Manager so that a resolution can be agreed.
- Exes will communicate priority accounts to the manager
Deals
- Executives must be fully aware of the parameters of each of their deals;
- Liaise with managers to establish the areas of flexibility which exist in the terms and conditions of each deal;
- Anomalies between the deal set up in the booking system and the contract must be raised with the Manager immediately;
- Maintain formal documentation of all changes, charges, write off's and communications with regard to a deal.
Help to manage reputation for innovation, proactivity and ideas among agencies and advertisers. Build good relationships with colleagues in London, work together on projects as and when.

- Commercial awareness in delivering revenue
- Minimum 2 years activation experience
- Proven sales experience, including client service experience, sales, airtime management and delivering revenue targets
This role requires occasional travel across regional offices and to London ITV offices as well as to clients and to client / agency events within the area.
