Full Time, Fixed Term - 6 months

An exciting opportunity has become available for a 6 month Temporary Deputy Manager, covering maternity leave in our Childrens home for Disabled Children. Application for a secondment are welcome.

The role of the Deputy Manager will be to deputise for the Registered Manager (RM) in taking full responsibility for managing the home within the framework of current legislation.

To ensure the delivery of a high-quality residential service for disabled children within the overall policy of the Department (as defined by the National Care Standards Commission- minimum standards for Children's Homes).

The home provides care for up to 3 children at a time with varied needs. We currently provide care for 2 children. Each child has a care plan which thinks about their needs and abilities so the staff team can care for them appropriately.

Your working pattern will mirror that of the teams so you will work a variety of early and late shifts and every other weekend.

You will assist on the Management On Call Rota.

You will have a need have supervisory experience and will be required to motivate and lead the team alongside the Registered Manager.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary service, working alongside social workers, OT's, parents, and carers, to ensure the best service is offered for the children we care for.

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
