Our Finance team in the East Midlands are growing, and we're currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to join them.

About the team...

Our Finance team have seen some amazing growth the last 2 years, helping them take charge of the increased information flow to an increased number of stakeholders and suppliers, after some phenomenal acquisitions.

This role will aid in that vision to not just keep everything ticking away but to also bolster our finance processes, whilst Cooper Parry continues the acquisition journey.

About the day to day...

This role will be crucial for the day-today running of the Accounts Receivable team. We are looking for someone to take full responsibility and ownership for all things Accounts Receivable; from ensuring invoices are raised accurately, cash receipts are processed, outstanding debts are chased to maintaining ledgers and issuing reports.

You'll get stuck into a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including:

  • Ownership, management and reporting of all areas relating to billing and aged debtors
  • Ensure key KPIs are achieved for billing, ensuring team resourcing is managed effectively
  • Provide key internal reporting to the business across all Accounts Receivable to drive improvements in working capital
  • Ownership of the aged ledger, helping reduce the risk of bad debts for the business
  • Work closely with the Treasury team to ensure accuracy of bank reconciliations and ledgers
  • Ensure accurate client statements are issued
  • Manage the process around arranging direct debits with clients and the accurate posting to the ledger
  • Responsible for refunds to clients
  • Manage, motivate and coach the team to deliver continued success, reviewing work performed regularly and providing feedback to drive positive performance
  • Work to continually improve and increase efficiency within the Accounts Receivable team, considering skills across the team and resourcing requirements
  • Identify financial control and process improvements, implement changes to strengthen the control environment and increase the efficiency of the team where necessary

In addition to those core values, as an Accounts Receivable Manager you will have an analytical mindset with keen attention to detail. You will be proactive, and solution orientated, as well as;

  • Have experience of the full Accounts Receivable process, including raising invoices, credit notes, and credit control
  • Strong accounting/finance knowledge
  • A strong people manager, experienced in coaching and developing teams to drive performance and hit targets
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to actively engage colleagues
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis and Accounts Receivable procedures, including key KPIs across the Accounts Receivable function
  • Confident, articulate and passionate about personal and team development
  • Enthusiastic and adaptable working style, keen to identify opportunities for improvements
