Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to manage a portfolio of clients, including limited companies with a turnover up to GBP 10m.

You will oversee a team of accounts staff and work closely with another Accounts Manager to build strong client relationships and ensure high-quality service. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with diverse clients and industries while identifying opportunities to enhance client businesses.

The role also offers genuine progression opportunities, within a supportive and growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, providing hands on service, advice and solutions to business challenges
• Oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT returns and tax filings
• Plan assignments and manage budgets to ensure efficiency and recovery targets are met
• Allocate work effectively across the team, monitor workload and ensure progress and timely client service
• Take an active role in winning work by preparing quotes and recommending solutions
• Contribute to financial management across your portfolio including billing and recoveries
• Stay up to date with changing regulations and share that knowledge with your team and clients

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Full accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
• Proven experience managing client portfolios
• Leadership experience in a similar role
• Technical knowledge in accounting, tax and compliance
• Proficiency in accounting/tax software
