We are now looking to expand the team with an Accounting Manager based in London to deliver timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with group policies and local law.
The essence of the role
As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the UK entity, with the potential to expand your responsibilities to additional entities in the future. You will excel in delivering strong and trustworthy financial statements while being a champion for internal control. With a deep understanding of the company's accounting processes and deliverables, you will consistently explore innovative and improved methods to fulfill this commitment.
The role should reinforce standardization, efficiency and quality in period end closing processes. This should be accomplished through own accounting, balancing and reconciliation of books as well as supervision of outsourced accounting processes.
You will report to the Chief Accountant EMEA based in Sweden.
As Accounting Manager, you will:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and review month- and year-end reporting
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting, legal, and tax reporting, and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
- Contribute and be involved in migration of ERP system
- Manage month-end closing and reporting to Sinch Group Accounting
- Coordinate external audit of legal entities
- Identify and resolve exceptions in accounting processes
- Provide insights on performance gaps and areas for improvement
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, AGI reports, annual reports, and corporate tax returns
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
Who are you?
For this position we are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager who is resilient and thrives in a progressive and ever-changing environment.
In order to be successful in this role, we believe you have:
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Business Administration
- 5+ years of professional experience within accounting and/or auditing and successfully independently managed process efficiency projects (i.e. goal has been reached and delivered on time)
- Solid accounting, auditing, taxation and reporting skills and knowledge of accounting rules and policies
- Advanced knowledge of technology such as ERP system, Excel, and databases
- Understanding of the internal control environment and the dynamics of the business and managerial skills in projects and outsourcing
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
