Account Manager - UK, South East

As an Account Manager you are responsible for achieving and exceeding the quarterly - and annual Sales quota in your assigned region. You will report directly to the Sales Manager. This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Account Manager that is up for a challenge!

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and carry out sales activities to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales.
  • Review and make recommendations to optimize sales, protecting and growing existing business while establishing new accounts
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through regular account visits, covering the full territory of responsibility.
  • Maintain opportunity tracking through active and ongoing funnel management.
  • Develop ideas and build offers for digital demand generation marketing - actively follow-up and track leads that are generated by marketing.
  • Oversee and report on territory activities and share insights and learnings with wider team
  • Manage the product family and advise on pricing according to agreed targets.
  • Partner with Field Service Engineers to provide outstanding service while improving our opportunity for new and additional opportunities to grow the business.
  • Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems.
  • Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing
  • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and balanced relationships.
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
  • Provide nationwide and cross territory business support as required (Approx. 15%)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant (technical) sales experience. Experience in the medical device market is desirable.
  • Experienced in selling capital goods and consumables.
  • Experience in interacting with stakeholders in the sterilization, hospital hygiene or operating room fields.
  • Strong analytical, commercial and digital literacy such as Excel, Sharepoint, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.com.
  • Understanding of medical devices would be preferred but is not exclusive.
  • Experience with FBS/Lean operation principles of continuous improvement is preferred.
  • Proficient in English is required.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to use them at several organizational levels.
  • Flexible. Able and willing to travel as the need emerges.
