Overview of role:

Digital Barriers are looking for a Group IT Manager to join our Operations Team. The Group IT Manager will be responsible for maintaining and enforcing group-wide IT policies and processes in a global organisation.

The IT Manager will manage continuous IT system improvements across the group and be responsible for driving group IT planning and updated. In addition, the IT Manager will manage the Cyber Security accreditation in place (Cyber Essentials) whiles monitoring and maintaining the infrastructure over multi-site organisation.

The role will be based at our Glasgow Engineering & Delivery office. We offer hybrid working with a minimum of 3days in the office. Travel to other Digital Barriers offices may be necessary.

Your skills and experience

Candidates must be degree qualified and have strong, proven IT management skills with at least two or more years' experience in an IT support role. Familiarity with securing and maintaining Cyber security accreditations and expert knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory is essential.

As such, the successful candidate will need to be able to implement IT strategy with a highly IT-literate user-base, driving commonality while supporting disparate business-needs. The candidate will therefore need to demonstrate tenacity, resilience and a strong goal-oriented attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide IT support across all locations
  • Implement and maintaining IT security measure and accreditation including Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 and Soc2
  • Implement, enforce, and maintain group-wide IT policies and processes
  • Proactive Infrastructure monitoring, administration, and maintenance of critical business systems over a multi-site organisation
  • Expert knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
  • LAN/WAN networking
  • Experience of administering and managing Microsoft O365, including document management, device management and security functions
  • Transition from on-premises hosted business application to SaaS
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com would be advantageous
  • Supplier management, IT procurement and managing IT operational budget.

Special Conditions:

  • Successful candidates may be required to meet security requirements for this role before they can be appointed. You must have rights to work in the UK, and able to gain UK security clearances.
