Job Description
INFICON is seeking a proactive and customer-oriented Account Manager to join our Inhouse Sales team. This role will focus on managing and nurturing relationships with smaller accounts across UK & Ireland, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth-all without the need for in-person visits. You will work from our office in Blackburn (incl. potential for home office days) and serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned accounts, collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet each client's unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with field accounts, understanding their business needs, and ensuring INFICON products and services align with their goals.
- Customer Support: Act as the main point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Sales Growth: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts, contributing to overall sales targets and company growth.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the technical, marketing, and product teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and to develop tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and account status using CRM software. Prepare regular reports on account performance and sales forecasts.
- Market observation: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to effectively position INFICON's products and services.
Qualifications
- Completed commercial or technical oriented apprenticeship, NVQ level 3 or 4 or A-level qualifications required; ideally in engineering or the sciences
- around 1-3 years of experience in account management, sales, or a related role, ideally within the technology, industrial, service, or hospitality sectors.
- Technical basic knowledge of Chemistry, Physics and Vacuum is a plus
- Personal skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Autonomy and Motivation. Highly motivated with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Customer-oriented thinking and acting
- A good technical understanding and technical affinity
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and a good aptitude towards computers .
- Analytical mindset with the ability to understand complex technical information and translate it into customer solutions.
- Self-motivated, with a results-driven approach and a passion for customer service.
- Self-organised and structured was of working
- Excellent English communication skills, German language would be an advantage
