JOB PURPOSE
The primary accountability for this position is to effectively manage the UK-based relationships with our strategic global customers, working in close partnership with customers and CMA CGM's Head-Office based Global Key Account Management team alike, with the main goal of increasing volume and revenue in accordance to our UK commercial strategy and objectives, whilst delivering a best in class service to our customers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in establishing the Commercial actions plan and ensure the agency sales' segmentation is correct and up to date in our inhouse CRM system(s).
- Identify the commercial market opportunities within your dedicated market, creating leads and planning & facilitating customer meetings to maximise opportunities
- Promote CMA CGM Group Services and Non-Maritime products (e-commerce, VAS, intermodal, CEVA...)
- Update commercial data and customer feedback in CRM
- Work collaboratively with Sales colleagues, reviewing relevant leads and opportunities identified by others and actively pursuing these
- Work with Sales Support teams to ensure customer pricing requests are delivered effectively and in a timely manner
- Relay other requests from customers to Customer Care team as required, ensuring our service levels remain as high as possible
- Develop overall market share/turnover in accordance to commercial strategy
- Management of customer credit facilities
- Ensure all customer interactions are recorded in CRM
- Update Agency Trade Manager with Market rates / Information as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Extensive Sales and Account Management experience, preferably with demonstrable experience of working with key accounts / strategic customers within the Shipping or broader Logistics industries.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels, both internally and externally
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and effective working relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Strong personal resilience and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical skills, able to work confidently with data with a high attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence, with regular national UK travel an essential requirement of this position.
