Marketing Account Manager

As an Account Manager at Inspired Thinking Group (ITG), you will be pivotal in managing our client relationships and ensuring the successful execution of projects. Your primary focus will be on delivering outstanding service and value to our clients by acting as the liaison between them and our internal teams. You'll be responsible for overseeing project delivery from inception to completion, ensuring that client goals are met or exceeded.
This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with clients to develop and implement strategies that meet their objectives, while also collaborating with our creative, production, and delivery teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
In addition, you'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather essential information, create and maintain project deliverables (such as briefs, proposals, timing plans, status reports, and contact reports), and ensure high standards of accuracy and quality across all client outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and touchpoints.
- Analyze client needs and objectives to develop tailored solutions that drive success.
- Oversee the end-to-end project management process, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Create and manage project documentation, including project briefs, proposals, timing plans, status and contact reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate project execution and delivery.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple, multi-phase projects simultaneously.
- Provide regular updates and reporting on account performance to clients and internal stakeholders, including campaign and programme effectiveness.
- Proactively identify opportunities for account growth and optimisation.
- Actively seek process improvements to ensure efficient management and delivery of programmes.
- Maintain an organised approach to documentation, invoicing, and all account management tasks.
- Share knowledge across internal teams and wider networks, supporting upskilling where needed.
- Ensure timely communication across teams, acting as a strong advocate for best practice and service excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience in account management or a similar role, preferably in a marketing or creative agency.
- Strong understanding of client relationship management and business development.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills - verbal, written, and listening.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and recommendations.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality, accurate outputs.
- A collaborative and proactive work ethic, with a positive can-do attitude and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Willingness to learn with a drive for continuous personal development.
- Familiarity with digital marketing principles and strategies is a plus.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including project management and CRM systems, along with experience in online research.
- Understanding of marketing channels and how they operate within ITG's ecosystem.
